Is that a printer in your pocket?

Do you know what the secret is to enjoying your job?  Getting out of the office.  The stained ceiling tiles, the fluorescent lights, the millimeter-thick carpeting… how is that supposed to make a person feel at ease?  If I really want to clear my head and get some work done, I find that the best place to do it is poolside at the Shamrock Hotel.  They’ve got waiters that will bring you French fries, for one thing, and I enjoy watching the ladies’ synchronized swimming classes.

There was a time when working in my swim trunks wasn’t an option.  My computer, my Internet connection, and all my other electronic business tools were all hardwired to my office.  Thank God for the 21st Century, right?  Nowadays, I can take my Palm PDA, my laptop, and my cell phone anywhere and have everything I need to put in a full day’s work at the bowling alley, the movie theater, or wherever.  Heck, I’ve been filing my TPS reports from the coffee shop inside Barnes and Noble for over seven months now.  I suppose it was only a matter of time before someone built a portable printer to complete my mobile office.

That’s why I was so intrigued by the SiPix Wireless Infrared Pocket Printer A6.  It was the first and only portable pocket printer I had ever seen, and I knew it’d allow me to finally break away from the office forever.  The SiPix Pocket Printer A6 uses advanced thermal technology just like the machines that print receipts, so I never have to replace pricey ink tanks.  I can use it to print wirelessly from my Print from my infrared-enabled Palm or Pocket PC thanks to the SiPix’s wireless infrared connectivity, or I can use its serial cable to print from my laptop or netbook.  And because the SiPix runs on batteries, I never need an electrical outlet!

Thanks to my pocket printer, now I can print invoices in my car or print address labels in line at the Post Office.  I’ve finally cut the last umbilical cord tying me down to the office!  Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to get back to work.  I’d like to finish by the time they close the pool.
