Every time I look at the Benwin iChoice Dock on my dresser, I think of you. We had a lot of great times together, didn’t we? All those long phone calls stretching into the early morning, all that great music we shared over the years, and all the games we played together. When I remember everything you did for me, I wonder how I ever let you go. I always thought we’d be joined at the hip forever. You were the best I ever had. I guess I got careless, didn’t I?
Sometimes, when I stare at that empty iPhone dock, I can’t remember how I ever lost you. Did I leave you on the train? The lunch table in the break room? Were you stolen away from me while I was focused on other things? There are no excuses. A man is supposed to take better care of his iPhone 3GS than I ever did, and now you’re gone. I just hope you’re making somebody out there just as happy as you always made me, little buddy. Who knows—maybe you even exposed them to some of the rare MP3s we collected together.
Someday, when the dull pain of losing you has subsided, I’ll get a new iPhone 3GS. I’ll dock that iPhone in the Benwin iChoice Dock and Speakers and fire up some of our old favorites using the wireless remote control. As the Britpop thumps out of those pristine digital speakers, I’ll just lie back and let the memories wash over me. The iChoice’s sleek industrial design always made you look so cool. Sure, I could dock the Benwin with any old iPod or MP3 player, or even use its audio jack to play songs off my computer or Discman. But we both know the iChoice was made for an iPhone. That’s why it still sits empty, even now.
I guess a part of me is still hoping you’ll find your way back home someday.
