Photography is a much costlier enterprise for kids today than it was before the rise of digital photos. Time was, a kid could snap a reel of Polaroids in no time, filling up a whole album in days. Do they even make instant Polaroids anymore? Nowadays, kids need a computer with Windows and a USB port if they’d rather see their pictures anywhere besides the 1.3-in. viewscreen of their camera. Must we really purchase computers for our youngsters in order to teach them the joys of photography? Probably not, but it sure wouldn’t hurt.
That’s not to say digital technology has only complicated picture-taking needlessly. Take our deal of the day. Using the included software, kids can add images of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends to their photos, or insert digital mats that make it look like the cat is visiting Disneyland. Now that’s something Polaroid couldn’t do back in the day, yet the Disney PixClick is cheaper than the camera I had as a young’n. Sure, you need a computer (or at least a photo printer) to develop your kids’ pictures, but if you’re reading this, don’t you already HAVE a computer? That’s good, because to find the best deals on cameras, toys, and computer accessories, you pretty much have to go online and check out BuyersHQ.com.
Every day!
