If you could magically control anything with a remote control, what would it be?  Nuclear weapons?  Lady GaGa?  The IRS?  Admit it, you’ve thought about it before.  Adam Sandler even made a semi-decent movie about that very fantasy:  controlling your entire life using a remote control.  Why are remote controls such a powerful totem in our collective imagination?  Maybe it’s because of the feeling of empowerment that comes from switching stuff on and off at the touch of a button.  Maybe it’s because the prospect of never leaving the recliner is so appealing.  Who knows.

Today’s deal of the day allows us to experience just a taste of the all-powerful fantasy that made Adam Sandler a few million.  Thanks to the Remote Control Socket Switch, lamps, fans, kitchen appliances, power tools, alarms, cappuccino makers, and pinball machines can now easily be controlled via remote.  Do we yearn to be so lazy?  Or do we simply craze the feeling of control?  Or is it just that some electrical stuff happens to be hard to reach?  Whatever the primal urge is that makes remote controls so appealing, a couple of Remote Control Socket Switches sure seems to satisfy it.
