I love pretty much everything about my Acer netbook.  I love that it was affordable.  I love that it runs Windows 7.  I love that I can shove it in a backpack and take iTunes with me wherever I go.  I even love that it’s retina-singing hot pink (it was on sale!).  The only thing I absolutely can’t stand about my netbook is the speakers.

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I was expecting Bose studio monitors to be crammed inside a budget-model netbook like mine.  And it’s not as though I’ve never  experienced crappy laptop computer speakers before, either.  But listening to MP3s on my Acer is like trying to hear “Empire State of Mind” as broadcast through Zack Morris’ cell phone.  The sound quality is non-existent.  I thought I’d be shackled to earbuds forever until I discovered the Mighty Dome USB Vibrating Speaker.  It’s small and portable enough to take anywhere, yet with a powerful enough bass rumble that I don’t feel like I’m listening to the soundtrack of an Atari 2600 game.

Now the only time I use my stupid earbuds is to drown out the shouting when the bums start brawling on the bus! Thanks, Mighty Dome.
