I don’t play sports.  In fact, I try not to even move around all that much if I can help it.  At first blush, you’d think that I’d have no use whatsoever for a Sport MP3 Player, but that blush would be dead wrong.  It’s not that I’ve made some stupid New Year’s resolution to get in shape or that my iPod is insufficient for my active, outdoor lifestyle.  I like today’s 2 GB Sport MP3 Player for two very simple reasons:  No. 1, I’m cheap, and No. 2, I’m absentminded.

What does having a wallet like a steel trap and a mind like a sieve have to do with MP3s, you ask?  Well, the Sport MP3 Player is an insane bargain at $24.99.  I can buy like five of them at that price.  And do you know why I might need five of them?  Because I’m an absent-minded ninny who has lost no fewer than three iPods in his lifetime.  Now, today’s deal of the day is pretty tough to lose.  You’d have to work at it, I expect.  I mean, the whole thing just sits there on your head unobtrusively.  It’s not like you can just leave it lying somewhere when the entire unit is attached to your ears.  I’m still not convinced that I won’t find a way, however.  After all, my 6th-grade retainer was attached to my head, too, and I managed to lose it a couple of times rather easily.
