I think netbooks may have finally made it TOO convenient to surf the Web.  There are no computer-free zones left!  I’ve seen people updating their Facebook on these portable machines at the park, in bars, at concerts, in restaurants, even from their cars.  If computers are going to be this portable, this convenient, and this inescapable, then why don’t we all just go the full monte and have Windows 7 installed in our brains.

That’s  all that’s left:  Becoming cyborgs.  Sure, we’ll probably waste even more time Facebooking, instant messaging, surfing Wikipedia, and watching YouTube when we have chips in our heads than we do already, but not MUCH more.  I mean, we’re already only taking breaks from the computer to eat and sleep, so why not stay plugged in all the time?  All this time we’ve been so afraid of machines taking over the world when in reality we’re simply merging with them.  Call it the Bulworth solution to man vs. machine:  Everybody just gotta keep interfacin' everybody 'til they're all the same bandwidth!
