For a kid, the last week before Christmas is the most tense, exhausting week all year. Since Halloween, the sights and sounds of the season have inundated every store, every advertisement, and every television program. The growing specter of Christmas morning has loomed large for over six weeks. By the time the big day arrives, a lot of kids are just ready for the excitement to be over. They just want to find out what Santa Claus brought, be it an iVO-Sound m880 Media Player or a pony, and take a nice, long nap. They’re ready for a break.
The worst part about Christmas day when I was a kid? The long drive to Grandma’s house. Back then, I had a Sony Walkman to keep me occupied during the long hours on the road. Nowadays when I go on long road trips, I have a lot more options thanks to the iVO-Sound. I can listen to mp3s in the car, watch episodes of “Law and Order: SVU” that I downloaded, read an e-book, or listen to the radio. And once I’ve arrived at my holiday destination, I can use the m880 to show off photos of my Christmas lights back home. Talk about exhausting… I am NOT looking forward to taking those down and packing them all back up in a another two weeks.
